God bless you for being faithful in the previous lessons. You have done extremely well. If you are just learning about the “AWAKEN Video Equipping Series,” let me take a moment to welcome you. If this is your first time with us in our video equipping series, let me encourage you to go back and catch up by going back to the first lesson. Don’t feel that you are so far behind that you can’t progress with the other prayer-life disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that you will review your video equipping lessons from time to time until you sense a deeper encounter with Almighty God. Remember that you will benefit a great deal more by purchasing a copy of AWAKEN: Ignited by the Power of Prayer. Investing in your personal prayer-life is one of the most important things you can do as a follower of Christ.
Now, let’s get to today’s “AWAKEN Video Equipping Series” Lesson 3. Lesson 3 is about “God’s Quickening.” We should never expect the fullness of God’s blessings in our lives if we fail to experience “God’s Quickening.”
J. I. Packer defines revival and spiritual awakening as “God’s quickening visitation of his people, touching their hearts and deepening his work of grace in their lives” (AWAKEN p. 15). As you participate in this study, you will learn the enormous value of “A Grace Awakening.” This is something that every disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ must understand and fully embrace. Embracing “A Grace Awakening” is like learning how to embrace the best that God has in store for us each and every day. Those who fail to experience “A Grace Awakening” will never understand what it means to have peace with God.
Are you eager to experience peace with God? It is one thing to have peace with others but there is nothing like having the fullness of peace with Almighty God—Himself!
